Up North: A Father's Summer Legacy began in 1994 as a 35-page handbook to introduce North Sand Lake, near Webster, to newcomers. Before long, the book changed course to include personal memories as well as those shared by local residents and others who visited one of seven resorts on the lake. While some stayed lifetimes, others were satisfied with annual summer fragments which began for the author as a youngster in 1945 at Hansen's Resort. Seasoned with emotion are reflections of a time and a place and the togetherness of family during a 60-year period. The book is laced with memories that will tug at your heartstrings with laughter and tears and leave lasting impressions of love and respect between a father and daughter.
